Choir Wins 4 in a Row!!

"I cannot express enough how proud I am of our students and how they performed on Saturday.  Each choir sang the best they have all year, and I received so many compliments from parents/other people at the competition on Saturday saying how impressed they were with our choirs.  This year the results were the closest they’ve been since I started here.  When all was said and done, we came out on top by only 16 points!  I am extremely blessed to work with the students that I have, and Saturday confirmed to me how blessed I am.

 Here’s a breakdown from Saturday:

-We placed first with 719 points.  Liberty Christian placed second with 703 points.

Large Ensembles:

-The Concert Choir received a “1” rating in both performance and sight-reading, earning the “Sweepstakes” award.

-The Male Chorus received a “1” rating in both performance and sight-reading, earning the “Sweepstakes” award.

                -The Women’s Chorale received a “1” rating in performance and a “2” in sight-reading.

Sacred Ensembles (4-20 singers)

-The Chamber Choir received a “1” rating in performance.

-The Sacred 2 Ensemble received a “1” rating in performance.

All of Concordia’s ensembles that performed on Saturday earned a “1” rating.  That is the first time that has happened in my 4 years here!"

"God has truly blessed Concordia and myself with an amazing choir and an incredibly supportive staff/administration.  I want to sincerely thank you all for your willingness to work with the choir students as I know they have missed class/athletic events for choir-related activities this semester.

 To God be ALL glory!"
