Honestly, it’s just that simple. We are an imperfect school with imperfect staff members and imperfect students. It is inevitable that we will disappoint you on some level, but what sets Concordia Lutheran High School apart from many schools is that we can process ALL OF LIFE (the good, the bad, and the ugly) through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Jesus willingly left heaven to live on earth to fix the imperfect mess that we as humans have made). What Jesus, who is ONE with the Creator (Genesis 1:26; John 1:1-5; 14), graciously did on behalf of and for his creation is scandalous…it’s in NO WAY FAIR! A perfect God receiving the just punishment, death on a cross, of a sinner, and then giving that sinner (you, me, and the rest of the world) his “right” place before God, the Father (2 Corinthians 5:21)…WOW! That’s why it’s all about Jesus here at Concordia.
Knowing that 36% of our student body is unconnected to a Christian Church, the staff at Concordia works hard to create a safe environment for everyone. We hope the students who believe are able to deepen their love for Jesus, and love those who don’t believe. We hope the students who are still asking questions about this “Jesus stuff” are willing to explore Jesus in theology class and respect their peers as they practice their faith each day.
