College Fair

COLLEGE FAIR -October 9, 2018

All students need to register for our college fair.  Click on the links "College Fair Flyer for Scanner Registration" and "Instructions on Obtaining Bar Code Registration" for assistance.  The barcode can be used for any college.

Concordia opens our doors to area private high schools to give them the opportunity to experience a college fair and gain more knowledge of colleges/universities. It is also an opportunity for the college reps to meet with many more students, making their time with us more productive. Rose Hill Christian, Lutheran North, and Cypress Christian typically join us each year.

Grades 9th-11th are prepped in advance of their responsibilities during their time in the gym with the college reps. The counselors go into the classrooms discussing etiquette, types of questions to ask, and the assignment that will be required of them.

The fair runs from 1 PM - 3 PM.   Area private high schools will arrive and attend the fair starting at 1 PM.  CLHS students willl attend the fair at different times.  By separating the classes, there is a continuous flow of students in the gym, allowing reps to give more individual attention.  See the Bell Schedule below for those times.

Seniors:  They will have the opportunity to go in first to ask last minute questions or to continue their research on schools to which they may wish to apply. They are welcome to attend but not required to stay.   They will go out the 800 Wing to their vehicles.  Any seniors currently in season with a sport must go directly to the 800 wing and stay in a classroom.  Mr. Wilke will be monitoring this.

Juniors:  They will attend the fair from 1:13-3:00 PM.

Sophomores:  They will attend the fair from 1:30-3:00 PM

Freshmen:  They will attend the fair from 1:45-3:00 PM

Sessions at the college fair:  CLHS offers sessions that are very well attended each year.  The Bell Schedule will be out soon which will let students/parents know what sessions are offered.

Parking:  Parents coming to spend the afternoon with their kids will need to look in the following places for parking.  We are very limited, so please understand you may need to park off campus.  Here is the order for seeking parking spots:
  • Behind the school
  • South Campus

A list of colleges/universities who will be on our campus are listed below.
