Junior, Michelle Privette, performs with the TMEA Small School All State Choir

Michelle began her audition process all the way back in June with the initial learning of the music. Her first round of auditions was at District in September. After placing first among the other small school altos, she earned a spot at the Area auditions in January. In order to progress into the final all state ensemble, Michelle had to be in the top 3 altos from our Area. She accomplished that feat and successfully earned a spot in the choir! The Small School All State Choir was open to all 1A-4A public school students as well as all private school students. She beat out over hundreds of other altos vying for a spot in the choir.

Michelle performed with the choir during the TMEA Music Conference which was held from February 11-14th. She had the privilege of singing under the direction of Dr. Z. Randall Stroope, who is known worldwide to his excellence in choral music education. Pictured below is Michelle with choir director Mr. Palomaki, along with her all state patch that she earned for her letter jacket. Congratulations Michelle! We are very proud of your incredible accomplishment. To God be the glory!
