Alumni Events

Throughout the year, the Concordia Alumni Network will host events specifically for Alumni and Alumni Parents. These may include reunions or breakfasts on campus, college care package deliveries at universities/colleges around Texas, happy hour socials at a local establishment, or family fun days at attractions around Houston. The purpose behind these events is to help alumni and alumni parents stay connected with one another and the ministry of Concordia.
 
After Crusaders graduate and head off to college or enter the workplace or military, the parents often see some social changes. They might not interact as often with other parents at extracurricular activities or games. Alumni parent socials are designed to help keep these connections strong, while developing new connections.
 
Detailed information and dates of upcoming events are listed below:
 
Members of Concordia's Advancement Office and school staff are excited to bring college care packages to alumni at colleges/universities around Texas before final exams both Fall and Spring semesters. Colleges may include but not limited to: Texas A&M, University of Texas, Texas State, Baylor, Lone Star College, Blinn College, SHSU, Stephen F. Austin, UMHB, University of Houston, Rice, UTSA, TCU, and SMU. Alumni will be texted a few days before with date, time, and location for college care package deliveries.
All Alumni and Alumni Parents are invited to attend the 2024 Homecoming Tailgate for the Homecoming Football game. The tailgate will begin at 6 pm with a tent in the north end zone filled with dinner, desserts, water, and soft drinks while you enjoy the game. Concordia Crusader graduates from 1994, 2004, and 2014 will be honored and celebrated as part of the 2024 Homecoming festivities. Class representatives will help plan their reunion with Concordia's Alumni Relations & Advancement Assistant, Jeanne Brandenburg. All alumni from those classes, their families, and children are all invited to attend the festivities for free admission. There will be kid activities and a private tent located in the north end zone for the class reunions.

 

Reunion celebrations will begin in the designated special event tent in the north end zone of Schroeder Stadium from 6-9 pm. There will be dinner, desserts, water, and soft drinks for all. Also, there will be optional school tours at the beginning of the 3rd quarter of the game led by our Advancement Team members.
