One Act Play: "The Cages We Build"

Are we products of our circumstances or can our response to life define us? Dean’s dad isn’t around, his mom is deeply broken, and everyone at school either hates Dean or fears him. That’s just who Dean is. Then he meets Lucy and learns that life is more than what other people think of you or do to you. This short play reminds us that no matter what life hands us, no matter what kinds of walls we put up, no matter the cages we build, we can overcome. We can tear them down. We hold the key.

Tickets are available at or at the door. This play is appropriate for all ages, but not intended for younger audiences. The show runs about 35 mins without an intermission with a light reception following.
