Chuck Evans

Charles Evans – Interim Head of School

Charles T. (Chuck) Evans is the founder and Senior Partner of BetterSchools, LLC. He has worked in independent schooling for more than twenty-six years, leading schools in Virginia, North Carolina, and Texas. Since 2006, Chuck has provided strategic consulting and professional development for dozens of independent and parochial schools. A frequent presenter at conferences, Chuck's work focuses on the wide spectrum of challenges that exist in private schools, especially given the dramatic changes in the private education marketplace over the past decade. In addition to strategic consulting, Chuck and his colleagues at BetterSchools provide support for schools experiencing leadership transitions. Together, they have provided interim head of school leadership in twelve different schools in Texas, California, and Virginia. The former Executive Director of the Texas Private Schools Association, Chuck has worked as a lobbyist, advocating in the Texas state legislature on private school issues. He is also a former member of the State CAPE Network of state-wide political advocates and has worked as a state certified mediator. Chuck is the co-author with Robert Littlejohn of "Wisdom and Eloquence: A Christian Paradigm for Classical Learning (Crossway 2006), and he contributed a chapter to a work on Christian schooling entitled "Building a Better School: Essays on Exemplary Christian School Leadership (Paideia 2012). Chuck also teaches in the graduate programs for independent school leadership at Vanderbilt University/Peabody College and Gordon College. Chuck and his wife, Julie, are long-time members of Bethan Lutheran Church in Austin, TX.

Julie Kangas

Julie Kangas – Principal

Julie Kangas graduated from Concordia University, Irvine in 1992 and completed her California Clear Teaching Credential in 1993. Her first call was to Zion Lutheran Church and Schools in Anaheim, CA where she served for twenty-five years. Kangas taught 4th grade for seven years and then completed her Masters degree from Pepperdine University in Educational Administration, as well as her Administrative Credential in 1999. At that time, she moved up to teach 7th & 8th grade in middle school and also served as Assistant Principal. In 2002, she served as Interim Principal and was formally called as Principal in 2003. She was selected to be a Van Lunen Fellow through Calvin College in Michigan that trains educational leaders in executive management. Kangas served on the Board of Directors at Lutheran High School in Orange County and as President of the Orange County Lutheran Educators Conference. In 2018, she joined Concordia Lutheran High School, serving as Principal. Julie and her husband Sean, have two children, Matthew and Mackenzie. Sean teaches at Trinity Klein Lutheran School in Spring, TX.

Matthew Schleicher

Matthew Schleicher – Assistant Principal

Matthew Schleicher graduated from Concordia University, Wisconsin in December 2001. He immediately took a teaching position at Trinity Lutheran School in Tinley Park, Illinois. The next year, Schleicher began using his secondary education training by moving to the Detroit, Michigan area to teach and coach soccer at Lutheran High School Northwest (Rochester Hills, MI). Schleicher taught both on-level and Advanced Placement Biology during each of his four years in Michigan. Starting with the 2006-2007 school year, Schleicher joined the ministry team at CLHS. While teaching on-level and AP Biology as well as Anatomy & Physiology courses at Concordia, Schleicher earned his Masters degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University Nebraska in 2007. He has served as Assistant Principal since 2008. Matthew and his wife Kim have three sons, Ian, Ryan, and Nathan.

Andrew Schultz

Andrew Schultz – Assistant Principal

Andrew Schultz graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska in December 2009 with a degree in Secondary Education. He completed the Masters in Educational Administration program through Concordia University, Texas in April 2016. Schultz was called to Concordia Lutheran High School in August 2010 and has served as a Physics teacher and Theatre Director. Schultz now serves both in and out of the classroom during the day, splitting time between teaching Engineering and AP Physics and partnering with the administration team as an Assistant Principal. He enjoys the dynamics of this dual role and the opportunities it provides to serve and partner with students. He also cherishes being able to continue directing theatre productions alongside his wife Melanie, who teaches Theatre and Theology at CLHS.

Matt Neidigk

Matthew Neidigk ’92 – Director of Athletics

Matthew Neidigk graduated from Concordia University, Wisconsin in 1997. He then began teaching at Concordia Lutheran HS in Tomball. After two years at Concordia, Neidigk moved to Lutheran North High School in Macomb, Michigan where he served as History and Theology teacher, as well as Head Girls Basketball Coach for 9 years, before becoming Athletic Director. Neidigk then moved back to Texas where he served as History Teacher and Head Baseball and Football Coach at Lutheran High North in Houston for four years, and then spent a year at Klein Collins HS as an assistant football and track coach while teaching United States History. Neidigk then returned in 2006 to his high school alma mater CLHS, where he as served as History and Theology teacher, as well as Head Girls Basketball Coach, before becoming Athletic Director. Matt and his wife Lindsay have four children, Jackson, Ryan, Lauren, and Alyson.

Rory Duffy

Rory Duffy – Director of Admissions

Rory Duffy graduated from Concordia University, Austin with a degree in Human Resource Management. In 2011, Duffy completed her colloquy to become a called worker in the LCMS. Rory taught health and P.E. at Trinity Lutheran School in Klein for ten years. During that time she coached volleyball, basketball, and softball. In 2007, Duffy began her career at Concordia, which included working at the attendance desk and teaching Health, Theology, and P.E. She also coached volleyball, softball, and tennis and enjoyed being a part of State Championships in both volleyball and tennis. Rory and her husband Jim have four children that have all attended Concordia Lutheran High School and eight grandchildren.

Ryan Neuhaus

Ryan Neuhaus – Director of Spiritual Life

Ryan Neuhaus graduated from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX in 1999. He then attended and graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO with a Masters of Divinity in 2005. Neuhaus’ first call was to be a missionary at large in Buda, Texas with his best friend, Rev. Paul Goeke. In Buda, these two men worked full-time in the community while planting The Well Lutheran Church. While being a pastor at The Well, Neuhaus worked at Home Depot for a year and then at a position in the Hays Consolidated School District. While at Hays, Neuhaus taught Life Skills for a year, Economics and Government for three, and spent two years teaching at-risk elementary students social and leadership skills. Neuhaus joined Concordia Lutheran High School in the summer of 2012. Ryan and his wife Jill have three children, Jane, Adele, and Vincent.

Jonathan Schleicher

Jonathan Schleicher – Director of Advancement

Jonathan Schleicher graduated from Concordia University, Nebraska in 2011 with bachelor degrees in Marketing and Business Administration and a minor in Finance. Schleicher joined the Concordia ministry in June 2014, after serving Lutheran Hour Ministries as a major gift/planned giving officer. Prior to Lutheran Hour Ministries, Jonathan worked in the advancement and marketing offices at Concordia University, Nebraska and was a tennis professional at the Lincoln Racquet Club (Lincoln, Neb.). With his Masters in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary's of Minnesota and the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) distinction, Schleicher offers expertise in estate plans, trusts, gift annuities, life insurance gifts, property and direct gifts, and endowed scholarships. Jonathan and his wife Chelsea have four children, Isaiah, Noah, Micah, and Selah. Chelsea teaches at Trinity Klein Lutheran School in Spring, TX.
