Annual Fund
The purpose and primary use of Concordia's Annual Fund is for special projects that support the daily operations not originally included in the budget. These special projects help improve various programs and the entire school. Undesignated gifts made to Concordia's ministry will be used to support the Annual Fund's projects. 10% of all Annual Funds each fiscal year support Concordia's Endowment.
Tuition Assistance Fund
Concordia’s Tuition Assistance Fund is designed to provide financial aid to students who have met the Admissions criteria and whose families are not financially able to afford the full cost of tuition. It has been and remains a goal of Concordia and its Board of Directors to ensure that financial need does not stand in the way of a high quality, Christian education for students who desire it.
The Tuition Assistance Fund is supported and funded through the generous donations and gifts of Alumni, Parents, Friends of Concordia, Faculty/Staff, Congregations, Businesses/Corporations and Foundations. For the 2022-2023 school year, over $600,000 in aid was given to families.
(Tuition Assistance is need-based and mission-driven. Awards are not merit-based. Awards are determined solely on a family’s ability to pay. Tuition Assistance results in reduced tuition – it does not reduce other fees and expenses. It is not a loan or scholarship, and it does not need to be paid back. The Tuition Assistance process is handled independently from the Admissions process. The Tuition Assistance application process uses a third party assessment partner (FAST) to objectively evaluate each family’s financial situation and ability to pay.)
Leave a Legacy (Bequest in Will)
Bequest gifts are small, often testamentary gifts to your family one final time. They also can be viewed as a final tithe on a person's estate at the time of their passing. Bequests can be made while donors are alive and well and anyone that has an executed will can make a bequest to any nonprofit organization.
If you would like more information on the wording of leaving a bequest in your will by leaving a legacy and supporting the ministry of Concordia Lutheran High School with a gift from your estate, please contact Director of Advancement, Jonathan Schleicher, via email or by calling 281-351-2547, ext. 213. Your bequest donation will be used to help grow Concordia's Endowment which will allow future students to enjoy the blessing of Concordia's education.
Appreciated Securities
If you have appreciated securities you wish to use as a method of making a charitable gift to support Concordia Lutheran High School, and avoid paying capital gains tax, contact Director of Advancement, Jonathan Schleicher, via email or by calling 281-351-2547, ext. 213. Concordia partners with a local broker to help process these donations in a timely manner.
