Megan Brady and Cesar Parizot Named as Concordia’s Valedictorian and Salutatorian for 2024

The Concordia Lutheran High School Class of 2024’s Valedictorian is Megan Brady and the Salutatorian is Cesar Parizot.

What does it take to earn these titles? A lot of time spent studying, taking upper-level CAPP, AP, and DC classes, and earning A’s. These students have dedicated their time using their God-given talents to give back to this school through sports, organizations, and volunteering.

 

Valedictorian: Megan Brady

While taking 20 upper-level classes and earning an A in each of them, Megan Brady earned the highest ranking in the Class of 2024 with a GPA of 4.6275. Through Concordia’s dual credit program, she accumulated 6 college credit hours and took multiple AP classes also earning her possible college credits.

Achievements, Awards and Activities:

  • College Board AP Scholar with Honor
  • Excellence in English, Excellence in Math, Excellence in Science, and Excellence in Social Studies Awards
  • 4-year Academic Letter
  • Member of National Honor Society for two years and served as the President her senior year.
  • Member of Student Council and served as the Class President her senior year.
  • Participated in Academic, Speech, & Debate, the One Act Play, the Musical, and was a leader in our Peer Tutoring program.
  • Megan enjoyed volunteering through her church, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with their VBS and Knights of Columbus.

What are your future plans? (college, major, future career, etc.)

Megan has been accepted to TCU, SMU, University of Texas, and Ole Miss. She plans to attend TCU as part of their Honors College and will major in both Accounting and Communications.

What was your favorite memory from Concordia?

The trip to Las Hacienda before the One Act Play competition.

  

Salutatorian: Cesar Parizot

Earning the second highest ranking in the Class of 2024 with a GPA of 4.6154, Cesar Parizot completed 20 upper-level classes with an A in every one of them. He departs Concordia having earned 5 college credit hours earned through the dual credit program and took several AP classes also earning him possible college credits.

  • College Board AP Scholar with Honor
  • 4-year Academic Letter
  • Member of National Honor Society for two years.
  • Member of the Finance Club serving as an officer for two years.

What are your future plans? (college, major, future career, etc.)

Cesar will be taking a gap year this upcoming fall, working for his father’s business. After working for a year, he will be attending Texas A&M University majoring in Business.

What was your favorite memory from Concordia?

Mr. Straub’s class when he brought a lot of different insects that were worth extra credit if you ate them.
