CLHS Welcomes Charles T. Evans as Interim Head of School for 2023-2024 School Year

The Concordia Lutheran High School Board of Directors would like to again offer its sincerest appreciation to Joel Bode for his 24 years of service.  Joel announced in November that he would retire at the end of the 22-23 fiscal year.  As his time as Head of School comes to a close, we pray that God will continue to bless Joel throughout a long and joyous retirement.

Additionally, the Board would like to announce that Charles T. (Chuck) Evans has accepted the position of Interim Head of School for the 23-24 school year.  Chuck is a former full-time head of school and has been a strategic consultant for Christian schools, including several Lutheran schools, since 2006.  This is his tenth interim head of school assignment, having led schools for a year or two in Texas, Illinois, South Carolina, and Virginia.

We believe Chuck’s more than 25 years of educational leadership experience has uniquely prepared him to guide Concordia through this year of transition, as we continue to seek God’s choice for our next Head of School.

Chuck is excited to join the CLHS community in this transitional year, focused on making strategic progress, empowering teachers and staff, and preparing our community for new permanent leadership.

Parents, guardians, and students are invited to meet and visit with Chuck at one of two welcome sessions both on Wednesday, August 2nd, from 8-8:45 am and again from 5:30-6 pm in the Commons.
