Class of 2016 graduate, Jessica Lawrence, has been selected as the TAPPS 5A Female Student of the Year based on her excellence in the One Act Play, Academic Team, Speech/Debate, Choir and the Fall Musical.
Nick Wanner, Class of 2017, has been selected as the TAPPS 5A Male Student of the Year based on his excellence in the One Act Play, Academic Team, Speech/Debate, Choir and the Spring Play. This award typically is given to senior students while Wanner was only a junior.
Director of Performing & Fine Arts, Mr. Jonathan Held, has been selected as the TAPPS 5A Fine Arts Teacher of the Year for his success in directing the Band to their first ever State Championship.
This is the third straight year that a Concordia Female student won the award, the fourth straight year a Concordia Male student won the award and the first time in school history a Fine Arts Teacher won the award. Dating back to 2013, Concordia students have won 7 of the last 8 student of the year awards.
